WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah — Three siblings were hospitalized after a single-vehicle rollover on I-15 in southern Utah.
Utah Highway Patrol officials say the 18-year-old female driver was traveling southbound on Interstate 15 near milepoint 30 when she swerved for unknown reasons and lost control of her vehicle, causing it to roll.
According to witnesses, the car rolled four or five times. An 8-year-old boy slipped out of his lap belt and was ejected; he was flown to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. An 11-year-old girl remained in her seat belt and in the vehicle; she was transported to the hospital with injuries to her arms and face. The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.
UHP officials say the trio was traveling from Salt Lake City to their home in Henderson, Nev., when they crashed.
Drugs or alcohol are not suspected to be a factor. The crash is still under investigation.
