SALT LAKE CITY — It looks like the Mailman will soon be delivering on the airwaves. ESPN 700 radio is hinting that Karl Malone will have a regular segment next Wednesday.

The station posted a photo of Malone’s eyes on their website and Facebook page with a message asking listeners to tune in Wednesday as they welcome the newest member of their broadcast team.

They have also announced a news conference for that day where they will “welcome the most prominent athlete in Utah’s professional sports history to its weekly lineup.”

Malone is the NBA’s second all-time leading scorer and a basketball Hall of Famer who had his own short-lived radio show in Los Angeles during the 1998 NBA lockout.
