LOGAN - Utah State University revealed their new logos in a press conference on Saturday.

Representatives from Utah State Athletics and Nike revealed new logos, football helmets and uniforms for 12 of the Aggies' 16 Division I sports as part of the school's new brand and identity program. All 16 Division I teams will debut new uniforms during the 2012-2013 season.

The new identity is the conclusion of a 15-month collaboration between Utah State and Nike.

"After working with Nike over the past several months we are extremely pleased with the results," said Utah State Director of Athletics Scott Barnes. "This branding initiative is another important step in growing our overall athletic program. Our new marks and branding program brings a crisp, modern clarity and consistency to our brand while honoring our rich history.

"I want to thank Nike and especially Nike President and former USU football student-athlete Charlie Denson for his passion and commitment to this project.”

The logo replaces the upper case 'U' with the word 'STATE' written vertically inside it, which has been used since 2000. The new logo is the eighth primary logo used by the university, dating back to 1964.

A redesign of the Utah State Athletics website, including the new logo, will be launched on Monday.
