Camp Williams to conduct artillery training this weekend

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah National Guard will be conducting artillery training exercises on Friday and Saturday.

The 1-145th Field Artillery will conduct combat mission training on the M109A6 Paladin howitzers on Friday between noon and 10 p.m. and Saturday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The Utah National Guard is warning residents of possible loud booming noises in parts of Salt Lake and Utah Counties. The cities of Bluffdale, Herriman, Riverton, Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs and Lehi are expected to be most affected by the noises.

The artillery exercises are not open to the public.
