A 69-year-old woman died in a South Salt Lake house fire Monday morning.
The fire started around 10:18 a.m. at 123 E Vidas Avenue (2580 S). Neighbors pulled Ora Lynn Ray out of the house, but she had already died.
"I worry about people going in, just for their safety, but, you know, bless their hearts for being able to go in there and do that and pulling this lady out," said Kevin Bowman, Deputy Chief of the South Salt Lake Fire Department.
The neighbors were treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation.
The house was completely engulfed in flames and firefighters say it was a total loss. Firefighters continued working Monday afternoon to determine the cause of the fire.
