SALT LAKE CITY – UDOT has some changes coming to Utah’s roadways this weekend, with new roads opening and new closures and restrictions.
The first section of the Mountain View Corridor opens on Saturday at 3 p.m. The section of the roadway between 12600 South and 14400 South in Riverton and Herriman. [SEE MORE]
The new road will change walking and driving patterns in the area. Drivers are encouraged to visit www.udot.utah.gov/mountainview to learn more.
In Orem, southbound I-15 will be reduced to three lanes starting on Monday morning for concrete paving. The restriction will last about two weeks and drivers are encouraged to plan ahead for delays.
The 800 North interchange in Orem is scheduled to close for six weeks starting Tuesday morning. Crews will be constructing new on- and off-ramps. Use the 1600 North or Orem Center Street exit instead, especially if you’re heading to Deer Creek or Heber City.
On US-91 between Brigham City and Sardine Summit, lane restrictions will take place in each direction through September while crews repave the road. No lane restrictions will be in place from noon on Fridays to 7 p.m. on Saturdays. Drivers should expect delays.
SR-92 and SR-144 in American Fork Canyon will be resurfaced from the Pine Hollow Trailhead to the canyon mouth beginning on June 5 and lasting for two weeks. One lane will remain open at all times, but delays could be up to 20 minutes.
