SALT LAKE CITY - Students at Highland High School wrapped up the school year by helping those in need here in Utah and abroad as part of their yearly Day of Service.
Highland High students teamed up with the humanitarian group Globus Relief to put together medical supplies that will be shipped to new medical centers in third-world countries. Students also tied blankets to deliver to Primary Children's Medical Center here in Salt Lake City.
"We recently sent a shipment of medical resources like these linen modules to a cleft and burn center in Katmandu, Nepal," said Anna Darbonne, Donor Relations Manager for Globus Relief.
Students say they look forward to the humanitarian day every year and they hope their good deeds can help provide comfort to those in need.
