Lone Peak police say Congressman Jason Chaffetz’s Alpine home has been burglarized.
Police were notified of the burglary by a neighbor who was taking care of the Chaffetz family’s pets while they were out of town. Lone Peak officers were dispatched to the home at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
Officers found the glass on the back door of the home was shattered and someone had gone inside. Police say electronics were taken and they are following up on leads.
Police did not release any information about potential suspects.
