COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah — A two-alarm field fire started at Crestwood Park Tuesday afternoon and grew quickly, threatening several structures.

At about 3 p.m. the fire started and by 3:30 p.m. firefighters had it contained.

During its height, the fire burned an area 300 feet wide and worked its way westward along the park fenceline. Crews worked to prevent the fire nearing homes and the nearby Crestwood Park Recreation Center, located at 1700 Siesta Drive (7485 South).

Firefighters say no one was hurt and no structures were damaged. One home was evacuated as a precaution.
