WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah - All evacuations have been lifted in a wildfire that sparked east of New Harmony on Wednesday afternoon.
The human-caused New Harmony Fire sparked at around 1:50 p.m. Wednesday near New Harmony. It has been measured at 1,957 acres with 100 percent containment on Saturday evening.
Eight structures have been destroyed thus far. Crews are fighting the fire on the ground and in the air using helicopters dropping water to prevent further damage to residential structures.
Evacuation orders for the last areas impacted by the fire were lifted early Friday afternoon.
