Midvale apartment fire affects three units

Investigators are trying to figure out what started a Midvale apartment fire early Monday morning.

The fire started just before 1 a.m. at an apartment complex on 7927 South and 600 West. Three of the 24 unites in the complex were affected.

Firefighters said one unit burned, the apartment below it has water damage and the unit above was damaged by smoke.

Fire crews say they were able to put the flames out within about 10 minutes.

Emergency responders treated two people for minor burn injuries.

The building is currently without gas service and the estimate damages are $80,000, according to officials.
