MOAB, Utah – A BASE jumper from Australia has been rescued from the Millcreek Canyon area of Moab.

Grand County Sheriff Steve White says friends were able to rappel down and lower the man to safety from a cliff in the Manti-La Sal National Forest. They say the man has a minor foot injury.

The man said his parachute snagged a cliff edge when he BASE jumped at around 4 p.m. Wednesday and he was hanging about 250 feet above the ground.
