SALT LAKE CITY – Utah’s mountains got a couple feet of snow over the weekend, but winds have been a game-changer over the past 24 hours.
The Utah Avalanche Center says there can be some tricky conditions in the back country, especially on steeper slopes that have a lot of snow dumped there by wind.
Avalanche forecasters say they’ve seen a couple of human-triggered slides in the last few days and those slides are breaking deeper into the snow pack, making them more unpredictable.
“Have the latest avalanche bulletin so you can make informed decisions and ride the greatest snow on Earth safely,” said Craig Gordon with the Utah Avalanche Center.
