PROVO, Utah – Police in Provo are looking for a driver who hit a student Wednesday afternoon.
Police say that around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, they got a call that a 22-year-old BYU student had been hit while crossing the intersection at 300 East and 500 North.
The girl was reportedly hit by a dark blue BMW SUV that was traveling westbound on 500 North. She suffered a skull fracture and is in stable condition.
After hitting the girl, police say, the driver pulled over, paused, then sped away without helping her.
Police say the car has significant damage. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
