SALT LAKE CITY – A man is in critical condition after jumping off the Downtown Salt Lake City Library.
The incident happened at around 5:40 p.m. at the Downtown Library, located near 200 East and 400 South in Salt Lake City.
Salt Lake City Fire spokesman Jason Asay says a library security officer saw the man on the library’s roof garden preparing to jump. The guard reportedly tried to stop the man, but couldn’t.
Salt Lake City Fire officials say the 27-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition.
