SALT LAKE CITY – Jesse Jackson Sr. will be speaking at the University of Utah for its Martin Luther King Day celebration.
Jackson was by King’s side through much of the struggle for civil rights. After King’s death, Jackson became central to the movement himself.
Jackson is also a Baptist minister and two-time candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination.
The civil rights pioneer will speak at the Jon M. Huntsman Center on Jan. 24. Tickets are free at the Rice-Eccles Stadium box office.
