SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police are looking for a man suspected in the armed robberies of three convenience stores Monday night.
The first robbery occurred at a 7-Eleven store at 309 E 400 S.
Minutes later, another 7-Eleven at 705 E 3rd Avenue was held up by a suspect matching the description of the suspect from the first armed robbery.
Then, a Tesoro at 874 E 1300 S was robbed. All three robberies occurred within an hour of each other.
The suspect in all three robberies was described as a white male dressed in black clothing, about six feet tall with a slim build. He wore a black ski mask and he may have been wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
“There were no injuries. Clerks obviously scared. Having an armed robbery, especially on Christmas Eve, doesn’t show a lot of class,” said Lt. Carl Merino, Salt Lake City Police Department.
Although the suspect in the robberies wasn’t found, police arrested another party who was involved. During the Tesoro robbery, a customer attempted to intervene. Police say Christopher Brennan, 46, was trying to do a good deed, but they ended up arresting him because he was wanted for a felony warrant.
