SALT LAKE CITY — Police are looking for a man who robbed a Salt Lake City movie theater at gunpoint late Wednesday night.

A middle-aged man approached the concession stand at Movies 10, 2227 S Highland Drive, shortly after 11 p.m. He asked for a large popcorn filled halfway.

When the clerk brought the popcorn to the man, he lifted his shirt and revealed a black handgun in his waistband. He then demanded that the clerk fill the rest of the popcorn container with cash from the register.

The suspect walked out of the theater and left in a tan sedan. Police hope surveillance video will help them identify him.
