TOOELE COUNTY, Utah — A Utah Highway Patrol Trooper was investigating a car accident on I-80 in Tooele County on Saturday when another car lost control and hit the trooper’s vehicle.
The trooper was responding to a single-vehicle collision near mile marker 99 on I-80. After he had left his vehicle, a small passenger vehicle lost control and collided with the parked patrol car.
The patrol car was pushed forward, and it collided with the car from the first incident. Parties in both vehicles sustained minor injuries. The trooper was unharmed.
