OREM, Utah – A Utah Highway Patrol trooper was hit while in his vehicle on Interstate 15 in Orem.
Just after 3:10 p.m., the trooper had was conducting a traffic stop in the southbound right-hand emergency lane of I-15 near the Orem University Parkway at milepost 269.
He was sitting in his vehicle when a truck traveling southbound lost control of his vehicle, hit a concrete wall, rolled over then hit the patrol vehicle.
The trooper sustained minor injuries.
Utah Highway Patrol says this is the fourteenth trooper hit so far this year.
