According to The News Journal, a University of Delaware student mistakenly received $1,800 from an ATM on campus.

Devon Gluck was waiting in line for the ATM and he heard the machine making weird noises during the transaction before him. When it was his turn to withdraw money, 18 $100 bills came out. He was by himself and he wasn’t sure what to do. After four days, and talking with his dad and a friend, he decided to return the money.

PNC spokeswoman confirmed to Delaware Online that a student had returned cash dispensed by the ATM. She said they can’t confirm the details of the incident, but that “honesty is always the best policy.”
