TOOELE COUNTY, Utah – A woman was arrested after allegedly trying to attack her boyfriend and son with a hatchet and hammer while driving along Interstate 80 in Tooele County on Thursday night.
The incident started on the interstate and ended in Delle, which is about 40 miles west of Tooele.
Troopers say the woman, who was very drunk, began arguing with her son before allegedly pulling out a hatchet and trying to attack both men.
They were reportedly able to pry the hatchet from the woman and pull into a service station in Delle to escape and call police.
Police say the woman then came after both men with a hammer.
She’s now facing assault and public intoxication charges. No one was injured.
