LAYTON, Utah – A Hazmat incident closed southbound Interstate 15 in Layton on Friday afternoon.
Officials say that a truck traveling southbound was in an accident near milepost 330 near the Layton Parkway, rolled and hit a barrier on the right side of the freeway.
Officials say the truck spilled two gallons of sodium hydroxide onto the freeway, and some of the debris landed on nearby FrontRunner tracks.
Southbound I-15 was closed in the area for several hours while crews cleaned up and a bus bridge between the Farmington and Layton FrontRunner stations was implemented.
