WEST JORDAN, Utah — A missing West Valley City police officer who went missing on Tuesday evening was found dead in Wyoming late Thursday night.
Officer Michael Valdes died of “what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound and a single-vehicle traffic accident,” according to a press release from the West Jordan Police Department.
Valdes lived in West Jordan and worked as a patrol officer in West Valley City, where he served for 12 years.
