3 masked, armed suspects rob Murray bank

Posted

MURRAY, Utah — Police are searching for three men who burst into a bank on Tuesday wearing masks and brandishing handguns in a daytime robbery.

Murray police said the men entered the Key Bank located at 5625 South and 1575 East at about 4:15 p.m. The men ordered everyone in the bank to hit the floor and freeze. The gunmen jumped over the counters and started taking cash from the teller’s cash drawers, all while waving their weapons at customers and bank employees.

The three men escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash. They left in a late-model green Toyota Camry. Police said they were able to obtain a partial license plate number and determine the car had been reported stolen in Salt Lake City.

Police issued a state-wide, all-points bulletin for the car and the suspects. We will have more information when it becomes available.
