WEST JORDAN, Utah — A 20-year-old man was booked into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail last week after he allegedly hit a boy with a go cart.
The victim said he was riding his bicycle when Jacob Kyle Morgan, who was driving a go cart, intentionally swerved toward him and struck him, according to a statement from the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Morgan admitted to hitting the victim and claimed the incident was unintentional, the statement said.
Morgan faces a third-degree felony charge of aggravated assault and a class A misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of an accident involving an injury in connection with the March 22 incident.
