PARK CITY, Utah – A skier died after colliding with a tree in Deer Valley on Thursday afternoon.
Deer Valley spokeswoman Emily Summers says 38-year-old James Kimball hit a tree along the edge of the Little Bell run at around 12:30 p.m. He died instantaneously after suffering severe head trauma.
Kimball was a Deer Valley seasonal employee between 1994 and 2001.
Investigators are working to determine why Kimball crashed into the tree.
