AMERICAN FORK, Utah – The family of a 5-month-old baby who was shot and killed is holding a candlelight vigil on Sunday night.

The vigil for Ryker will be held at 7 p.m. at 36 South Jenks Ave. (140 West) in American Fork. Attendees are encouraged to bring candles and toys.

Police said the father of the child, 21-year-old Joshua Petersen, shot his son on Friday night. Police said the death was the result of a murder-suicide attempt.

Petersen is scheduled to appear before a judge on Monday, which is when his bail will be set.
