WEST JORDAN, Utah – A West Jordan man accused of stalking a woman for 12 years has been charged with five counts of stalking.
The charges 35-year-old Jason Allen Mapes faces are misdemeanors that carry a maximum one-year sentence each.
Police say the victim told them she received sexually graphic emails from Mapes for 12 years.
After he was arrested, Mapes allegedly told police he had been stalking both the victim and another woman.
He is being held on $15,000 bail.
