EMERY COUNTY, Utah — A Utah Highway Patrol trooper spotted an abandoned vehicle on I-70 at Eagle Canyon in Emery County on Saturday, and he could see an unresponsive body at the bottom of the canyon.
The trooper reported the vehicle to Price Dispatch. When they ran the vehicle’s VIN they found it came back to a missing and endangered person from out-of-state, according to a press release from the Emery County Sheriff’s Office
Emery County Sheriff’s Office personnel and a search and rescue team recovered the body from the canyon, which has a depth of about 300 feet, and turned it over to the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
