SALT LAKE CITY - It's been a week since 19-year-old Sione Fakatoufifita was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Maverik store on Redwood Road. Police say there appears to be a big break in the case, but there are still no suspects.

Fakatoufifita was fatally shot on the north side of the Maverik store located on the corner of Redwood Road and 1700 South in Salt Lake City at around 1:15 a.m. last Saturday. Police say multiple shots were fired and Fakatoufifita was hit more than once.

Fakatoufifita's 18-year-old fiancee Morgan Marie Holst has been arrested for allegedly lying to detectives about the case.

According to Holst's jail booking statement, detectives interviewed her four times, with the first time being just hours after his murder. Police say she lied to them several times about the details of her involvement with Fakatoufifita.

During the last interview, the statement says, Holst waived her Miranda rights and admitted that she'd lied several times in previous interviews. Police say she was the last person to see Fakatoufifita alive.

Police won't provide many details about their investigation, only saying that it is active and ongoing.

"We believe there are people out there that saw him and that know a lot more," said Salt Lake City Police Sgt. Shawn Josephson on Tuesday.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 801-799-3000.
