No explosives found on bus in San Juan County

SAN JUAN COUNTY, Utah — The Utah Department of Public Safety said there were no explosives found after a bomb threat was reported near the Utah-Arizona border Monday afternoon.

The bomb threat was reported around 1:30 on a bus traveling on U.S. Highway 163. All of the passengers were evacuated safely.

The highway was closed for several hours as FBI agents conducted an extensive search on the bus.

Utah Highway Patrol troopers and the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office diverted traffic from U.S. Highway 163 to U.S. Highway 191.
