He’s made millions of dollars as one of Hollywood’s most successful actors, directors and producers.
But Ben Affleck tweeted that he is going to live on $1.50 per day. He says more than 1.4 billion people around the world live on less than that amount.
Affleck is taking part in the “Live Below the Line” campaign. It’s part of the Global Poverty Project that challenges the way people in the United States think about poverty. Josh Groban and Sophia Bush are other high-profile people taking part.
According to their website, participants are asked to spent $1.50 per day on food for five days.
Last year the event raised more than $3 million dollars.
