Provo police seek suspect after finding 6 mutilated cats

PROVO, Utah — The Provo Police Department and animal control officers found several mutilated cats in the northwest area of Provo in March, and now they are asking for help finding those responsible.

A total of six cats were found that had been burned and strangulated. The cats’ paws had been bound with tape, according to a press release from the Provo Police Department.

The cats were found in the area between Independence Avenue and Geneva Road.

Police ask anyone with information that could lead to the identification of the suspect(s) to contact Detective Morgan at 801-852-7292.
