SANDY, Utah -- An Apple retailer in Sandy is asking consumers who have purchased an iPad or iPod recently to send their devices' serial numbers to police after nearly 100 Apple devices were stolen from the store in February.

Roger Smith, Sandy Expercom Apple, said they will reward people for their efforts in helping them track down the thieves, and he said, “…no one needs feel like it will cost them anything to bring this to our attention.”

Smith said Detective Thoman, Sandy Police Department, is in charge of the investigation and can be contacted with leads. He can be reached by phone at 801-568-7232 or by email at cthoman@sandy.utah.gov. Those who chose to help can email their serial numbers to that address.
