WEST POINT, Utah – A man is behind bars after a high speed chase and a residential burglary.

The Davis County Sheriff’s Office says they made a traffic stop around 9:00 Wednesday, when the suspect took off and led them on a chase that ended in a crash.  Police say the suspect, 26-year-old Nathan Langlais from Ogden, then broke into a house.  The resident pushed him out of her home and called police.

A pair of off-duty firefighters working in their yard spotted the man, chased him down, and held him until police arrived.  Langlais was booked into the Davis County Jail.
