MILLCREEK, Utah — A fire at a Millcreek apartment complex forced evacuations Thursday morning.
The fire was first reported at the Country Lake apartment complex, 355 E Wood Bridge Dr. (4050 S), at 10:42. Firefighters from the Unified Fire Department responded within four minutes.
When they arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from a second floor balcony of the three story building. The fire was extinguished within six minutes.
Two apartments sustained smoke damage and a third was a total loss.
Apartment managers worked with the people affected to find temporary housing for them.
