A Massachusetts Little League pitcher, Tanner Beebe, says he was banned for being “too good,” according to MassLive.com. He’s still allowed to play, he just can’t pitch.
The league disagrees, saying that 12-year-olds are “too old” to pitch in their minor league. Tanner’s dad says that rule hadn’t been enforced for years, until his son started throwing fastballs at 60 miles per hour. It’s Tanner’s first year playing baseball.
