(CNN) — If you’re a smoker and you like your Starbucks, you’re going to have to find somewhere else to light up.
The Seattle-based company will now require smokers to stand at least 25 feet away from the business while smoking. The old policy let customers smoke as long as they were not on the store’s patio, which means sometimes smokers were just feet away from other patrons.
The ban goes into effect this weekend at all Starbucks locations in the US and Canada.
