SALT LAKE CITY -- The Utah Jazz brought in two players for a pre-draft workout on Monday.
Cody Zeller from Indiana and Nick Thompson from Utah Valley worked out with Walt Perrin, Utah Jazz vice president of player personnel.
Zeller is expected to be selected before Utah’s first pick at number 14, but he said he came to prove his skills to the Jazz just in case.
Both Zeller and Thompson said they could see themselves in a Jazz uniform.
“They have some talented big guys,” Zeller said. “But I think I would be good in the rotation. I think It’s already a talented team, with great fan support. I think it would be a great spot for me.”
“I grew up being a Jazz fan,” Thompson said. “All my friends and family are super excited. This is such a cool experience, so I am really grateful that they reached out to me to give me an opportunity to just be a part of something like this.”
The NBA draft is June 27.
