According to The Local, Spain’s News in English, one Spanish town has come up with an interesting solution for doggy-doo. Brunete, a small town outside of Madrid, has decided to scoop up the droppings and send them back to the rightful owner.
The paper says undercover volunteers will strike up a conversation with the owner to figure out the dog’s name and breed, the city will look it up in the database to find out who the owner is, and then they “box it and deliver it to the pet owners along with an official fine warning.”
