SALT LAKE CITY – A man accused of groping and spying on women at the University of Utah has taken a plea deal.
Gary Winston Fotheringham, 31, pleaded guilty to three counts of attempted sexual abuse stemming from incidents that took place on the U of U’s campus in November 2011.
In exchange for the plea, prosecutors dropped to counts of misdemeanor voyeurism. He is scheduled to be sentenced in August.
