LEHI, Utah — A man is in custody after a fight over a gun allegedly ended with one man pistol-whipping the other.

The incident occurred near 1107 North and 3600 West in Lehi. Utah County Dispatch officials originally told FOX 13 News that officers were responding to a shooting.

Sgt. Jeff Swenson, Lehi Police Department, said three men were arguing over a gun when one of the men pistol whipped another man and then fled. The suspect was pursued and eventually taken into custody by Santaquin police officers.

Swenson said the gun was never fired. He said the suspect is in his 30s and the victim is in his 20s. He said the three men only speak Spanish, which is slowing the investigation as only one officer on the scene speaks Spanish.

We will have more information as it becomes available.
