TAYLORSVILLE-- A body was found in a Taylorsville duplex Monday morning after neighbors complained to police about a foul odor in the area.

Police said the neighbors had been smelling the odor near the duplex for several days. When Officers went to investigate, they said they found a deceased person inside.

The body has not been identified, but officers said it appears to be a man in his 40's or 50's.

"We don't have any information on the identity of the person who's deceased," said Lt. Steve Shreeve of the Unified Police Department. "We don't have anything to indicate that it's suspicious, but we are handling it as a suspicious death until we find out some more information."

Police said there appeared to be heavy flood damage in the duplex, and because of that they will involve the Salt Lake County Health Department in the investigation.
