ELK RIDGE, Utah – Rescue personnel located a 73-year-old woman who went missing from her home in Elk Ridge Monday.

Velora Anderson was found around 5 p.m. Monday, and she is in good health.

Lt. Tom Hodgson, Utah County Sheriff’s Office, said family members reported Anderson missing at about 12:30 p.m. He said Anderson has some medical issues, including Alzheimer’s disease and breathing problems, that they were concerned about, which is why the search began so quickly.

Hodgson said the area near the woman’s home has a lot of hills, ravines and steep areas. About 60 people, including volunteers, were involved in the search. Personnel from Utah County Search and Rescue, the Utah County Sheriff’s Office and the Elk Ridge Fire Department assisted in the search.
