BEAVER COUNTY, Utah – Two adults and three children sustained serious to critical injuries in a car wreck that happened just south of Beaver on I-15 on Monday.

The crash occurred at around 2:25 p.m. near milepost 100, and a medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

UHP officials said four people were ejected from the vehicle when it rolled.

Two children were taken to a hospital in critical condition: 4-year-old Alexa Clayton may have broken her neck, and 6-year-old Patrick Clayton has severe head trauma. The driver, 31-year-old Patrick A. Clayton, is also in critical condition.

26-year-old Eva Enriquez Plascen and 9-year-old Jorge Gallardo Enriquez were taken to a hospital with serous injuries but in stable condition.

UHP officials said the victims are from Las Vegas. They said the car rolled over after the front-right tire blew out. They said excessive speed appears to be a factor.

We will have more information as it becomes available.
