LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles police officer was reportedly shot in the face in a neighborhood in south Los Angeles Tuesday night.
The Los Angeles Times is reporting that the officer was in an area of unincorporated Los Angeles patrolled by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department near Century Station.
The officer was reportedly shot in the face. It was not known why the officer was in the area.
The shooting comes after two LAPD undercover detectives were ambushed earlier on Tuesday. The detectives sustained minor wounds. A manhunt was underway in the shooting.
No arrests have been made in connection with the Tuesday night shooting.
