SALT LAKE CITY - The annual Days of 47 Rodeo has set up a family-friendly camp at EnergySolutions Arena to celebrate the Pioneer Day holiday.
The Frontier Camp offers educational displays, pony rides, a miniature cowboy camp and more.
"We're setting up as cowboys and showing people what they used to be
back then, how they lived," said Peggy Ashby.
The biggest attraction at the festival will be the nightly rodeo.
"It's one of the biggest and best rodeos in the whole country, it's the best cowboys from all across the country," said cowboy Craig Johnson. "I think we just wanted to offer people something above and beyond the rodeo give families something to do."
The rodeo has an admission fee, but everything outside is free. It will be open through Pioneer Day on Wednesday, but closed on Sunday.
