GOSHEN CANYON, Utah – A woman sustained head injuries after a motorcycle wreck in Goshen Canyon Sunday, and police said alcohol and prescription drugs may have been involved.

According to a press release from the Utah County Sheriff’s Office, 52-year-old Brenda Charlene Robbs of Salt Lake County was driving north out of Goshen Canyon when she was unable to negotiate a turn and went off the side of the road.

Robbs was wearing a helmet, but she sustained head injuries and other scrapes and abrasions. She was in and out of consciousness while she was being treated. She was taken by an AirMed helicopter to the University Medical Center in Salt Lake City.
