Charges filed against deputy accused of assaulting his father

GRAND COUNTY, Utah – Misdemeanor assault charges have been filed against a Grand  County Sheriff’s Deputy who is accused of attacking his father.

Timothy John Brewer, 33, is accused of assaulting his father, Wesley “Corky” Brewer, who is Moab’s Fire Chief and a Moab Police officer.

Brewer was booked into the San Juan County Jail and is being investigated for attempted murder, aggravated assault, domestic violence in the presence of a child, assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct and intoxication—all stemming from an incident that took place on July 12.

Brewer is expected to make his first court appearance in August.
